Oh I love the brushwork on this! At least that's what it's called in the UK (the 'painting' on the middle tier) is it the same in the US? Excellent work, it's beautiful!

Thanks! The second tier is done in a technique known as brush embroidery. It must be done on fondant covered areas, you use buttercream or royal icing to pipe a simple lineart design, and then use a paint brush to brush the lines toward the center of the design.
